大黃Rhubarb(=Rhei Rhizoma=Rheum'，俗名將軍)
學名：Rheum officinale → 藥用大黃
Rheum palmatum → 生藥大黃=北大黃=四川產大黃
科別：Polygonaceae蓼科
成分：Emodin大黃素(黃色結晶昇華物)
Rhein大黃酸(字尾雖是-in但非配醣體)
Chrysophanol大黃酚(非瀉下成分)
Chrysophanic acid存在於大黃的髓腺，是瀉下作用最強的成分
45%純浸出物應在35%以上
用部：去周皮的根及根莖
組織：木質部網紋導管；含大量草酸鈣簇晶(咀嚼有砂鳴現象)
採集時間：夏天
文獻：最早記載於山海經
製劑：中華藥典中有5種
鑑別：北大黃-異常維管束呈錦紋排列，星點少，價值高
UV下呈褐色，天鵝絨狀
土大黃，和大黃-劣質大黃，含Rhaponticin在UV下呈藍色螢光
用途：抗黃色葡萄球菌(會引起盲腸炎)；
Anthraquinone大量作為緩瀉劑，少量作為健胃劑；
大量服用將先瀉後收斂
注意：新鮮大黃藥材尚無Anthraquinone，都是屬於還原態的anthrone，這類成分具強烈瀉下作用，不能當作藥用，應儲藏一年方可使用。
