• Oral bioavailability
  • <1% in the fasting state
  • reduced further in the presence of food, beverages, and other medications.
• To maximize absorption
  • with plain water first thing in the morning on an empty stomach.
  • wait a minimum of 30 minutes before eating, drinking, or taking any other medications.

注意事項

• 因為此藥物有刺激性，所以服藥半小時內不可以躺下。
• 牛津大學癌症流行病學小組分析英國1995至2005年間、40歲以上罹患食道癌、胃癌或直腸癌的病患，結果發現服用雙磷酸鹽類藥物（bisphosphonates）逾5年的患者，罹患食道癌的比率是沒有服藥者的2倍，但此藥與胃癌或直腸癌無明顯關聯。此乃藥物刺激引起，因為雙磷酸鹽有刺激性，「服藥半小時勿躺下」(服骨鬆藥5年 罹食道癌倍增2010年09月04日蘋果日報)
